Hi, my name is Quintin Johnson, Coach Q. I have been working with youth for 25 years as a profession. I currently am a student advocate at Bloomington Jefferson High. I am also in my 8th year as the Head Girls Basketball coach at Bloomington Kennedy High. I have over 100 career wins and have coached in 2 state championship games.
I have been to 4 section finals and I have on 2 conf championships. I have been named section coach of the year twice. I have sent many players on to play college ball. I played my college ball at the Univ of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where my teams won over 80 games in 3 years. I also played for a national championship. I take pride in teaching our youth basketball and life skills.
I specialize in moving without the ball and shooting. But more importantly, the when, where, what and why. (basketball IQ) I coach boys during my summer months as I want to coach both boys and girls. I look forward to guiding your son or daughter on their journey in basketball and would love to take them to new heights. Whether it is to become a Varsity player or better yet a college player.
