OUR TEAM
Denis is an experienced tennis coach with a strong history of working in the sports industry. He graduated from La Universidad Pedro Henriquez Urena with a BA in Business Administration. Since that time he has started his own tennis academy (Pro Tennis Academy) and a performance program.
He has coached over 50 players ranked in the top 10, 25, and 100 in the International Tennis Federation. He also coached Ryan Sweeting, a former ATP player and 2005 US Open Junior Champion. His proteges have achieved 7 Orange Bowl titles, 6 Eddie Herr trophies, and 1 US Open Junior Crown, and all of his players have reached the level to receive full or partial scholarships in the US. He has done work with the IFT since 1996 and has been an International Tennis Federation Tennis Center second head coach as well as their traveling coach. He has worked with over 200 schools totaling over 33,000 kids in their respective programs.
Denis was the former President of the Dominican Tennis Coaches Association and the Director of the Santo Domingo Tennis Club. He is currently still a Head Coach at the IMG Academy and has been a USPTR professional since 2004.
As the Owner of Hi-Five Sarasota, Denis is proud to begin enriching the lives of children in Florida, something he has been passionate about his entire life.
