SUMMER JUST GOT BETTER

For you, it’s about keeping your child active, healthy and happy. For them, it means no school, lots of fun and sports. Hi-Five Sports Camp is a sports camp dedicated to a full menu of team sports designed for children from pre-K to 8th grade. Hi-Five Sports Camp is about so much more than winning and losing – it is about teamwork, playing hard and playing fair. And it is about making new buddies and enjoying the camaraderie. A camp that is as encouraging as it is challenging. As safe as it is high-energy. And as instructional as it is fun.

9-WEEK SUMMER CAMP CALENDAR

OUR 9-WEEK SUMMER CAMP RUNS MONDAY – FRIDAY (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Hi Five Sports Mt. Prospect is excited to be your home away from home with our legendary Summer Camp Experience at St. Alphonsus Church & School. Our coaching staff is experienced, patient, and passionate about sports and coaching each camper! At the start of each week, our coaching staff will divide each camper into balanced teams based on their age. Each week, campers will have the opportunity to learn about and compete in a wide variety of sports such as: basketball, baseball, soccer, flag football, gaga ball, handball, and so much more!

8:30 AM – 9:00 AM PRE-CAMP FREE CHOICE TIME
Camper drop off & check in! All campers will be required to check in every morning. A member of the coaching staff will take attendance and check hot lunch orders at this time. This is a good time to bring up any questions or concerns with the coaching staff. Campers can expect to be greeted by a coach when they enter their field of play!

9:00 AM – 9:20 AM – MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS & TEAM FLAG AREA MEETINGS
Coaches will discuss all morning announcements to the entire group of campers to discuss our Hi Five Rules, theme of each day, and most importantly, our Hi Five Value of the Day! At the end of the announcements, campers will be divided and split into their teams to meet their fellow campers and their coaches.

9:25 AM – 10:15 AM ACTIVITY #1
Coaches will lead the first activity of the day. For each activity, our coaches will introduce sport specific drills to introduce, teach, and develop a certain aspect of each sport. We call these our “Skills Competitions”. At the conclusion of each activity, our coaches will lead a “post game meeting” to review different aspects of the activity and offer coaching insights moving forward.

10:20 AM – 10:40 AM SNACK BREAK

10:45 AM – 11:40 AM ACTIVITY #2

Team challenge/activity focused around the theme of the day. Campers will be competing against other campers in a team challenge. Potential opportunity to earn extra team points that can help determine the weekly Team Champion at the end of the week!

1:30 PM – 1:45 PM AFTERNOON SNACKS AND REFRESHMENTS

1:45 PM – 2:45 PM ACTIVITY #4

We Are Sports Nuts And Qualified Ones At That!

Just like our campers, we eat, sleep and breathe sports. Our staff is filled with professional coaches, high school and college athletes, as well as experienced P.E. teachers who promote the fundamentals through personalized instruction and positive reinforcement – all this while always maintaining a sense of humor! And no matter the skill level of the child, the goal remains the same: to have a great time, while learning the value of teamwork and good sportsmanship. All of which results in a positive, self-esteem-building experience. And Hi-Five isn’t new at this. We’ve been serving families since 1991 at our Northfield campus. Along with our Chicago campus, we provide safe, cutting-edge, skill-developing programs.
